CRDB Bank and COSTECH to empower women start-up

In order to assist women and young people starting businesses, CRDB Bank has struck a deal with the National Science and Technology Commission (Costech) and the Information and Communication Technologies Commission (ICTC).

Abdulmajid Nsekela, CEO and Managing Director of CRDB, stated that the agreement struck yesterday would expand its support to start-ups through its “IMBEJU” program and allow it to achieve its goals of economically empowering many women and youth.

“We are very proud of this significant achievement. “We realized that it is better to integrate the program with like-minded partners like ICTC and Costech to drive the goal home,” Mr Nsekela said.

Costech was founded in 1986 as the successor to the Tanzania National Scientific Research Council (UTAFITI) as a state-owned entity tasked with coordinating and promoting research and technology development activities in Tanzania.
